When I was there

€38.00

Benjamin Rubloff’s recent publication, When I was there, explores the city as a site imbedded with traces: physical, historical and personal. Starting with fragments of found graffiti tags, the artist’s paintings transcribe these traces of others. In the accompanying texts, the artist engages the historical, collective and personal memories that inscribed onto the site. A photographic index at the end of the book indicates where the tags originated. With an essay, Mapping Abstraction, by Duncan Ballantyne-Way.

English. 116 pages. Offset print in edition of 600.
